It’s DisneySea Resort day today & we’re off to the happiest place on earth!! The kids claim that they are too old for Tokyo Disney, but they agreed to spending a day at a more grown-up version: DisneySea. Mas isip-bata pa talaga ako kesa sa kanila. We pre-purchased our tickets from this website & printed them before leaving for our trip (you need to show printed tickets upon entrance, they don’t accept mobile tickets).

Like Disney’s other theme park in LA., the California Adventure, Tokyo DisneySea is different & unique from the traditional Disney parks and aims to give tourists an experience that one can only have in Japan. It is iconic -mixing elements of Agrabah, Temple of Doom, and Indiana Jones, with the Canals of Venice touch as taken from Duffy’s character (which can only be found at DisneySea).

Disney Sea is also home to Duffy (bear), Shellie Mae (bear), StellaLou (bunny), CookieAnn (dog) and Gelatoni (cat), new & exclusive Japan mascots. Almost everyone we encountered around the park was carrying 1, 2, or 3 of these plushies! Even Jena couldn’t resist & finally released the inner child in her and went for a Shellie Mae teddy. As the Duffy story goes, Minnie hand-sewed Duffy for Mickey as he was packing for a long voyage at sea. She presented the stuffed toy in a duffel bag, hence the name Duffy. Later on, she also hand-sewed a matching girl doll for herself – ShellieMae.

Grabe talaga maka-uto ang Disney sa merch, lol. Only a few with the strongest will-power can resist buying anything from the many stores strewn across the park & leave empty-handed. And I’m proud to say, isa na ako dun. ;P

Queueing for the nice rides was OVER THE TOP! @_@ I think we were only able to get on 2-3 rides na sulit, the rest were pampatay-oras nalang. That’s how filled the park was the day we visited. Make sure you get a FASTPASS to your target ride the moment you enter the park. And make a wise decision on which one you want to get a fastpass from coz you have to finish it first before you can get a new pass. I highly suggest these top 3: Journey to the Center of the Earth (mild roller coaster ride), Indiana Jones Adventure (closed – just our luck huhu!), and definitely Soaring! <3

Apparently, hindi pa pala kami tapos sa Disney as I previously thought. Meron pa pala kami isang hindi napupunahan, Disney Shanghai lol. So brace yourselves kids. You know I always have to do things in sets. So malamang next Christmas break, Shanghai ang lagpak natin, HoHoHo! 😛
