Ate is a true blue science geek (thus her pre-med course, Biology) and has always wanted to visit The Mind Museum ever since it opened 2 years ago. But her schedule was always full, so this Christmas vacay, I made one of her wishes come true. 🙂 Her 2 sibs have already gone to the museum on class field trips & they’ve told her how wonderfully exciting The Mind Museum is, so naturally, ate was really really excited when I told her we were going there during the holiday season as a treat to her.
As we had 2 whole days to explore Makati during our staycation at Makati ShangriLa, Manila, I made sure The Mind Museum was in our itinerary. To read more about The Mind Museum, click HERE for my previous post.
Last Saturday after a hearty brunch at our hotel, we stormed the Museum at 12 noon for the 12-3PM slot. Remember, the museum has several slots, you can’t just come in & go as you please so make sure you book the time slot most convenient for you.
Upon entry, they were like kids let loose in a giant playground! ;))
They were so fascinated with this whale that they tried to peep in.. and ate was swallowed whole! 😛
Another not-to-be-missed giant attraction is the dinosaur..
And the giant Rice Bowl with matching giant butil ng bigas for walls! 😛
Even the oldies got in on the fun..
And the museum is not just 2 whole floors of scientific wonder. It extends to the playground outside which just shows that science is everywhere.. and in every aspect of our lives! m/
In all honesty, I thought I would be bored out of my mind because I’ve never been a geek & science was never my favorite subject. It was a pleasant surprise to find myself enjoying & interacting with the kids for the 3 hours that we were there.
Science.. Explore the possibilities!
