When we moved to our first home in Alabang 23 years ago, Kap was able to find a diverse but solid group of friends in the village through basketball, his all-time favorite sport. Some were older than him, some younger; some executives, some students; some businessmen, some professional bums haha. But through the years, he was able to nurture these friendships & are still friends with those he met, through what is popularly known in AAV as “Cuenca court”, to this day.
One of those friends is the very conyo Ren Cayetano, son of the late senator Rene Cayetano (and brother to Pia). At first hindi ko talaga maintindihan how they became friends. Ren is a straight english-speaking kind of guy, elitista, while Kap is as you already know -my Kap! ;)) But get along they did. So well that Ren is, in fact, one of our Babyson’s ninong sa binyag.
Ren (or Renren as we fondly call him) is a child at heart, as is proven by his HOBBIES SHOP, the Heroes Concept Store in BGC. So while most of the friends got married, settled, and started families of their own, he remained single.. and ready to mingle, lol.

The Conservatory is in my Lovey’s top 3 list of debut locations. She’s really an old soul. I had my debut in this very hotel, and so did her Ate. We’ll see where she narrows her list down to (the other being Champagne Room at The Manila Hotel) & which venue emerges as the top choice. 😉
Teena & I go a long way. If you may remember, she sponsored my very first staycation event via SUPERSIZED. 🙂 It was nice seeing her again, still as gracious & lovely as ever. <3
The event called for an all white outfit -something hard for a plus sized girl to pull off. 😛 So I settled for a printed white top & everything else in off white. (Thank you Bae for the bag loan, teehee) 😉 I’m happy that this was a casual event, not stuffy or boring at all. It says a lot about the fun-loving couple who had their guests’ comfort in mind.
The Peninsula Manila has by far, the prettiest & coziest lobby. Forever in love with it.
I can just imagine The Conservatory at night with twinkling fairy lights on the ceiling for my baby girl. <3 And the place is intimate enough for a party of around 100 guests.
Fun cake for a fun couple. The secret to a happy marriage, I think, is to never forget to laugh together & have fun in spite of trials that may come your way.
Your big day is here, and you both look divine. No need to be nervous, everything will be fine. All you need to remember is to say “I DO”, and to secretly wear your something blue. Then to the reception for drinks & food, and the best man’s speech (hope it isn’t too rude!) ;P A romantic first dance, more fun & laughter. Then it’s time to begin another chapter.
Weddings remind me of mine to this awesome guys 23 years back. I’d do it over again in a heartbeat, and many times over. <3 Thank you my hunny for always making me very happy, and constantly filling my days with love & laughter.

Lemongrass chicken consomme (ginger chicken dumpling, mushroom, carrots & bok choy).
Both Kap & I chose the Fillet of beef tenderloin (baked potato, sweet carrots,haricot vests & foie gras jus) over the Pan-seared snapper.
Dark chocolate mint millefeuille with straciatella ice cream for me, and Almond rocher caramel mousse with peached pear for my handsome date. <3
