For Mother’s Day, I decided we 5 moms deserved to be pampered & treated to a sumptuous lunch buffet for our very special day. May kasabihan nga, “Mothers are God’s angels on earth”. Bow.
Kap frowns on excessive spending, especially now that we’re renovating left & right and with a big-budget travel on the way –lakas talaga ng gastos, but this time I put my foot down. Minsan lang naman, I said. So in lieu of flowers & gifts, just make it a lunch celebration for us 5 moms I said. 🙂 Hay salamat pumayag din!
Pero syempre ang mga bagets, they would never let an occasion pass without giving me a surprise. <3 Nakalusot ang gift-giving kay Kap my Kap, trololol!

They never fail to make every day special. Best kids ever! <3 Loving my new & shiny Pandora bracelet & charms, ang saya-saya na nilang tignan! They really spoil me. Thank you kids for giving me so much joy 365 days of the year. You guys are my sun, moon & star!
So I guess my love affair with Padora is here to stay! 😛 Another bracelet to fill -exclusively for their charms, yay! Thank you babies for my pretty mother’s day pressie. Ahhhhlaveeet!!
Story of my life! 2 cups of sugar & 1 bowl of spice! Panira talaga itong si babyson, lol. #pagmayalakmaybalak This pretty much sums up our kuhrayzee life. Puro kalokohan, never a dull moment with my kiddos. Thank you for the love gaize! And yes to answer your question.. AKO ANG ICING SA IBABAW NG CUPCAKE NYO! Walang iba. #notoboyfriends

Together with the 2 lolas and my 2 SILs, the 5 mothers with entourage in tow happily met up at High Street Cafe in Shangri-La Fort for a yummy Mother’s Day celebration 2 weeks ago.
Shangri-La has always been a home away from home, so we were very eager to try out the latest instalment at The Fort. Good thing I called to make a reservation 2 weeks in advance, booked through the roof!

My fascination with chandeliers continues. If only we can make hotel-hopping (and dining) a weekly habit, I would be one very happy, one very hefty PIG!
Queen for a day, every day for a year hehe. ;)) #busoglusog
The pavillion is like one big mess hall with the buffet stations pushed to one side & the seats & tables on the other side.
Unlike the other Shangri-La hotels, the staff here at High Street Cafe are less courteous & friendly though, I noticed. Look at the photos, wala talaga naka-smile even with a request & lambing coming from me. I hope it’s just due to a busy day. Service with a smile is always a plus, don’t you agree?
Matabang mataba! ;P Loved the fresh seafood spread over at High Street Cafe in Shangri-La Fort. Make sure you get a huge serving of scallops cooked in lemon butter sauce! Omnomnom.
The buffet price at High Street Cafe in Shangri-La Fort is considerable lower than that of Circles at Shangri-La Makati. The spread & presentation is different too, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds. 🙂
Shangri-La continues in strength in its desserts here at High Street Cafe. I would if I could.. ALL OF IT!
Carb heaven! <3
My starters. Notice the unli Uni. ZOMG!!! <3 <3 <3
Whenever I’m with company, I don’t get to eat much. Panay kasi ang kwentuhan. Lugi ako saHigh Street Cafe this time around haha. I shall return! 😛
My sweet endings. There were juts too many people that day to fully enjoy my lunch. I suggest you give High Street Cafe some time to settle, and the hype to die down, before you visit for a relaxed lunch.
Ooooops! May nangangapit-bahay! ;)) Mom must have missed the other half of her grandkids big time, panay ang lipat ng upuan at kalabit hahaha! ;))
The kiddie table with the lola who can’t seem to stay put at our table. 🙂
Ayan, nahuli ko rin! 😛 It’s really a challenge looking out for MIL & most especially Mom in their golden age. NPKHRP! NKKLK!

Motherhood is a choice you make everyday to put someone else’s happiness & well-being ahead of your own. To teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing even when you’re not sure what the right thing is. And to forgive yourself over & over again for doing everything wrong. – Donna Bell

May 20, 2016 at 8:47 amWUT?! Hmmmmm…. that’s so disappointing. To me kasi, Shangrila = Service.
