Not to boast, but every day is truly Mother’s Day for me. It’s actually Valentine’s, birthday, anniversary, Mother’s Day, Christmas, New Year & all other holidays rolled into one. I guess it’s because I’ve been blessed with an extraordinarily loving husband & such extraordinarily wonderful kids that every day I get to spend with them, I am beyond grateful & appreciative. <3 #blessedmewifey #luckymemommy
Not that we’re perfect, far from it. But the small details of our day to day life, even if it’s just randomly texting each other “hey what’s up hello” when we’re apart, and calling with nothing to say other than “I LOVE YOU”. Praying for one another’s safety, or if the kids have a particularly tough exam, or a rather long & tiring day ahead. The frequent kissing and hugging and touching which is definitely doctor-recommended & healthy for the heart, mind, and soul. 😉 Or simply by just waiting for all family members to get home before eating & sharing our day’s happenings at the table. Family prayers every night. The concern of Kap & the kids by making sure I take my daily green juice & giving me my maintenance medications. These small but heartfelt gestures, the outpouring of love & attention we get from each other, makes each moment special & what gets me through the day.
If only I can get hold of an old slam book and show you my answer each & every time to one question, you’d unravel that this is the life I have wanted since the beginning. My life’s true purpose.

Where others wrote “To be a Doctor” or “To be a Lawyer” or “To be an Engineer”, my simple but heartfelt answer would always be “To be a Wife & Mother”. Trololol, wala talagang ambisyon sa buhay diba? ;)) Maybe my parents were purposeful & driven enough that all I wanted for myself was a simple life free of worldly aspirations other than loving & being loved. I just wanted to have a story book life with a happy-ever-after ending. I guess I’ve always been a romantic. 😛
A couple of days before Mother’s Day, Kap took me out on a date. It’s nice to know that I’m appreciated, even if I don’t cook or clean & am purely in their lives for decoration hahaha! 😛

Not to be outdone by their dad, for Mother’s Day, the kids made sure I had an extra extraordinary day. ;)) I may be a hopeless unrealist, but one thing I know is that nothing in life is forever. They like spoiling me so I’m just happily absorbing everything I can before they have lives & families of their own, and being #1 in their lives take a back seat to spouses & children.

This is on top of what they already gifted me with a week prior! A good deed deserves another, so I treated the kids to a special lunch to make up for all the lunches they sacrificed in school just so they can get me my precious gifts huhu! Kaya naman pala panay ang baon nila lately, lol. Broke!

Thank you my loves. There really should be a Children’s Day because you guys deserve it! <3 But then again, every day is also YOUR day. Love you my giblings!
