Food & Dining Kap & Me My Kids Staycations & Vacations The GOppets

Kyoto/Osaka ’23, Day 3

By Day 3, I was fully (slightly) recovered. By hook or by crook, I had to be ok coz we were moving on to Osaka!

But before that, dahil masyado ko siyang kinawawa at masyado syang nasabik mag-lamyerda, our bunso woke up early para maka-rampa muna with her Dad. At para makabawi naman sa half day that she missed with the giblings.

Meanwhile, the ate & kuya were hella KO after their wild adventure the previous day. Or maybe, dahil tumatanda na din silang 2, HAHAHAHAHA! Hindi na kinaya ang matinding lakaran. Ate later on showed me her soles full of blisters, omg!

Ever since they were little, their Dad had always been their playmate & lakwatcha buddy. Tamad akong maglakad at gumala, so their Dad was the one who filled their adventurous souls. Sya yung nagdadala sa mga bata to the park, grocery, basketball court, tennis, atbp. Ako yung sa kainan at shopping! 😛

My Babylove is like me, she likes all things dainty, pretty.. AND EXPENSIVE. And her Dad knows that (oh does he!). So for their breakfast date, they went to an artisanal Donut shop called KOE DONUTS kahit na hindi mahilig sa ganyan ang tatay nya, mapagbigyan lang.

Her Dad, being the kapitan kunat that he is, ordered the least expensive. ;)) And my babylove, the mini-mommy that she is, ordered the MOST expensive. Trololol.

Then, they visited all the other places she missed the previous day. Like the fish market & old town. Nag-bonding silang 2.

The partners in crime rushed back to the hotel right after, because we had to check out by 11am.

Getting back to Osaka, marunong na kami ngayon, we didn’t hop on the 1st class section of the train anymore. 😛 Happy si Kap my Kap kasi menos-gastos.

I’m telling you, soooobrang init sa Japan ng July. WAG KAYONG PUPUNTA! We were LITERALLY melting, the short distance we walked to the train station. Tignan nyo yung pawis ko, lagatak!

Meni had no choice but to do her online class in transit, SIDEWAYS. Na-stress na naman sya! Ergo, gagastos na naman yan maya-maya, makita nyo! ;))

We left our luggages muna at our hotel in Osaka because check in time was 3pm pa. Then we proceeded to Dotonbori right across to have lunch.

Btw, our hotel in Osaka was Sotetsu Grand Fresa Namba. Our 4-night accommodation cost Php 35,05037 for the 2 rooms we booked. Which was not bad, considering.

The location is great! But the hotel is old, and from a chain. So yung aircon nila was centralized, kaya sobrang init lalo na’t summer pa. We thought of moving to another hotel by midnight, pero sobrang hassle, so we just asked for fans & stayed put. But never again. Never.

Travel tip: when booking a hotel, make sure the air-conditioning unit in the rooms are individually set up, not centralized. So you can control the thermostat to your liking.

Okay, enough about the hotel. Let’s move on to lunch!

Initially, they wanted to eat at Gyukatsu Motomura in Shinsaibashi, apparently the ONLY place in Osaka serving Beef Katsu. But as you can see, the pila was hella long! @_@ So after 30 minutes of waiting under the glaring sun, the giblings folded & pumayag na sila to look somewhere else to eat.

Masarap din naman kung saan kami napadpad.. sa Yakiniku Iroriya!

Check out how Kap takes his role seriously, sobra nya kami lahat mahal at alaga. We are so so blessed. <3 Never ako nakaranas ng ganyan sa sarili kong tatay. (Happy birthday nga pala in heaven today, Daddy! Bawi ka sakin paguwi ko ha?)

Family is laughter, love, happiness, EVERYTHING!

Pagkakain, nag-KKL na kami. Kanya-kanyang lakad. Kap wanted to check out tennis stores & us girls didn’t want to waste our time on that (hehe evil talaga kami diba? Tapos punasan ng pawis, biglang iniwan!)

The 2 ladies had heavy shopping in mind. Mej nangatog ako.. but they’re very good girls, masipag mag-aral at magtrabaho, so they truly deserved a treat.

Babyson volunteered as the “tribute” to keep Dad away while the gals went merrily shopping. Thank you anak, teehee. Mission accomplished!

Duktura pikit-mata splurged on an Hermes Black Leather Kelly Oxford. She’s really been eyeing that for quite some time, but it’s either always out of stock, or wala sa size nya (she’s a size 40!!). We were surprised that Japan had one in a big size (39.5 actually, pero pilit nyang isaksak yung paa nya para magkasya!) Normally they only carry up to 38-38.5. So na-swertehan lang talaga. Ubos agad ang pabaon kong pocket money kay Duktura, isa palang ang nabibili nya, HAHAHAHAHA!

Si bunso, nakabili na unang araw palang ng Chanel Classic Ballet Flats. But since meron pa syang natirang pocket money, she looked for the more affordable EGERIE SANDAL. Bih, ayaw mo ng sandal bida? Rubber slippers lang yan, hello? 😛

All that excitement got us (tired and) excited! Met up with the boys for a revolving sushi dinner at Daiki Suisan Kaitenzushi. Nagiisa lang sya sa buong Dotonbori, so you can find it easily.

Actually, tulala pa si duktura yung lagay na yan pagtapos nyang magwaldas. Jena & I had to guide her along at baka kung saan mapadpad. ;))

It was a suuuper long & excitement-filled day, so our eyes were practically closing by the end of our meal. Thankful that the boys already checked us in while we were out shopping. So all we had to do was shower & climb to bed. #blessed

Susunod.. Our 1st full day in Osaka & USJ, woohoo! \m/

Daddy, remembering you on your birthday. Please take good care of Mommy & David. And tell them that they are so loved & dearly missed.

I hope you are all happily celebrating in heaven.
