Kids are all away, either at work or play, ay school pala! 😛 So I have plenty of free time on my hands now to blog. Except I have dizzy spells here & there (due to my adult-onset, newly-acquired Vertigo), and so I must take care. Anobayan, I’m in my rhyming phase, pagpasensyahan!
Sometimes, I really wonder about my purpose in life. Now that the 3 kids are adults, I have NOTHING worthwhile to do. Wake up-eat-serve-sleep-repeat, not complaining mind you. I have an easy life, I know it. #grateful
Maybe my purpose in life is nothing spectacular, maybe I wasn’t meant to be stellar. Maybe it’s really just to wait on my alagain kids. ;)) To be here for them & take care of their needs. Yes, maybe that’s enough. Saka wala na din naman akong energy, as if.
Anyhoo, went on a short mid-year trip with the kids, all family members present, yay! <3 Ate was able to file a 7-day leave (she has another 7 for end-year, hopefully our Fukuoka or Tokyo trip will push through). Babyson had a month’s worth of free days after Clerkship before sabak naman sa Internship in MMC. My Babylove had her summer MBA program which THANKFULLY was just online! So we were all able to take this rare opportunity to go back to japan as a family of 5.
The ever kunat Kap was able to book a budget boutique hotel for our 3-day Kyoto stay. 2 rooms because the kids are big now. And also because the rooms in japan are so teeny tiny. Huminga ka lang, tamaan mo na ang pader, lol.
Price for our 2-night, 2-rooms stay was P20,223.60 o diba down to the last centavo sinama ko? Para buo at kumpleto ang pag-report ko sa inyo (breakfast not included). Happy naman ako, especially with the location na malapit sa mga sakayan.
We went to Kyoto na last 2018 right before the pandemic hit. Grabe 5 years na pala ang nakalipas, patapos na yung visa namin!
Again, Kapitan Kunat was able to book our trip early kaya mura-mura yung pamasahe. As usual, we just paid extra for bulkhead seats para medyo comfy yung almost 5-hour transit.
Cebpac only has 1 flight to Japan daily, so inabot na kami ng gabi. Sayang yung araw, but no can do. We flew Manila to Osaka, then took another 1-hour train ride to Kyoto (approximately 10k for the five of us coz we mistakenly boarded the fist class train, hekhek).
After checking in, we were already so famished. Right across our cute boutique hotel was Kyo Akari. Pagoda na kaming lahat kaya we just opted to eat somewhere close, so we can also have an early start the next day..
The last time we were in Kyoto, madaliang mga tourist spots lang ang pinuntahan namin kasi nga gahol sa oras. This time around, the kids had full intention of absorbing ALL that Kyoto has to offer. Starting with food, glorious FOOD!
Our (or rather, THEIR) Kyoto adventure, UP NEXT (pending hilo)! :-*
Duktura: O mami, kumusta naman ang byahilo mo sa Kyoto? Madami kang nakita?; P Me: Aba oo naman, dami ko naikot na CR, in furness.
