Kap & I got lucky when we were able to recover our rental property immediately & evict our tenant because of a serious crime he committed. The drug den along Madrigal Avenue, until now, is still considered a crime scene & hasn’t been recovered by its owners may 2 taon na rin ang nakakalipas. God is good & merciful to us talaga that He kept us in His love & protection, kaya naman hindi kami masyadong nahirapan at naapektuhan sa malagim na pangyayaring ito.
Kap got to work immediately right after they left, kasi naman, sobrang nababoy yung bahay. There were cigarette burn marks on the armoire, dining & sofa sets. Tapos, the tenant had 2 big dogs pa so puro scratch marks yung wooden doors & floors. The mirrored doors of the cabinets were cracked & the toilet in one of the bedrooms we had to replace kasi broken as well.

Sobrang stress sa chest! I told Kap, next time I don’t want to rent out na to single guys, hindi sila marunong mag-alaga. Good thing hindi na pumiyok the dad of our tenant when we said we weren’t going to refund the security deposit anymore at kulang pa nga yun sa pagpapaayos! @_@

Our next concern was sana maupahan agad. Our other property took SEVEN MONTHS to rent out, so ang lakas talaga ng kaba namin. Lord, huwag naman po sana ganon katagal, we prayed. And true enough, barely a month after, God sent us new tenants, woohoo! <3 Thank you Lord!
Just this last undas, when we visited the parents at the crypt in St. James Church, I had a heart to heart talk with them, with Kap looking on –tatawa tawa sa tabi. “Manahimik na sana sila” (interpret it any way you like hehe).
To my MIL naman I asked: Ma, baka pwede mo naman kalabitin si Lord. Paki-lakad kami. Sana padalhan na kami ng uupa sa bahay para hindi na ma-stress si Jo (her nickname to Kap).
Lo & behold, the very next day, a broker said her client seemed interested in the property & wanted to see it again. ;))

Last week, the new tenant moved in. PRAISE GOD! And thank you too, Mama, sa pagbulong. 🙂 I’m sure hindi mo tinantanan, hahaha.
