As we were watching the news one night, something must have triggered Kap’s memory that he out of the blue asked me if there were any upcoming concerts by all or any of the “four-gets” aka Rico J. Puno, Rey Valera, Marco Sison, and Hajji Alejandro.

I almost fell off my seat. Swearbear! ;)) Not that I don’t like them, I do -in a lola sort of way. (Homaygas hindi lang ako Tita of Manila. Lola na talaga! @_@) But it’s been a while since we indulged our down-memory-lane bingeing of “old hits” like Apo Hiking Society et al.
Hala, nag-google agad si Kap. Hanap-hanap. No Rico J. -his fave dahil sa angking kabastusan! The next best thing is Rey Valera. Meron. Naka-jackpot sya!
The next day as soon as SM Ticketnet opened, he dragged me & my Bae -his dakilang alalays, to the ticketing office and bought 4 tickets. 2 for us, and 2 for my kuya & his wife. Mga ka-age group naman namin hahaha! Opppps.. wag kayong magulat. Yung pinaka-murang tiket naman ang binili nya. Tipong kailangan na naming gumamit ng telescope at hearing aid! 😛
And so, we had a double date. We planned on treating my Kuya & his wife to dinner at our fave hotpot place, Four Seasons, which was right beside Kia Theatre where the concert was being held. But traffic ate the 3 whole hours that we alloted for dinner & travel. Kaya hayun, nabulilyaso ng hindi oras ang lakad namin. Yung all-you-can-eat dinner, naging Burger King nalang pantawid gutom & Aristocrat (another oldie but goody) after the concert which ended past 12 midnight -waaaay beyond our senior citizen bedtime. 😛

Sayang! Had I been the one who googled, we would have gotten tickets to this instead. Meron naman pala, hmp!

Hindi bale my Honey, sa 30th natin, I will hire the four of them (if they are still alive ha! #joke) to sing & serenade us at our Pearl Wedding hehe. Pare-pareho nang mapuputi ang buhok natin at uugud-ugod na, but I will still want to play beautiful music with you, my OTL. :-*

Kung tayo ay matanda na sana’y di tayo magbago,
Kailan man nasal ma’y ito ang pangarab ko.
Makuha mo pa sayang ako’y hagkan at yakapin oooooh,

December 27, 2016 at 5:21 pmThat must have been a wonderful concert. I know I still listen to Rey Valera when the pangs of homesickness tugs at me, but I can’t remember any songs of the other guys.
