I won’t start the year with a resolution. I never follow through anyway. Ningas-kugon lang lagi. I lack the discipline to do it, lol. Instead, I will list my hopes, dreams, and wishes for this new year to look back on in December 2016:
January – January will be so exciting (and at the same time nerve-wracking & tension-filled) because THIS IS IT PANSIT! Renovations for the bedrooms & bathrooms in our new home will finally start. Umpisa na ng away at bangayan, aguy! Kap will be super sungit the whole month through for sure kasi puro gastos na. So there will be some serious belt-tightening this year. KIDS. ARE YOU READY??? Wala munang shopping!

February – My birth month! By end of February, and God willing of course, I hope we have already moved into our new abode. It’s gonna take some getting used to, after having lived in our home sweet home & true comfort zone for 18 years. I can roam the grounds with my eyes closed & still know every corner & obstacle. When we finally change residence, if I sleep-walk, gugulong akong pababa sa hagdan, sa labas na ako ng bahay pupulutin! In a way, it’s kinda sad to leave the home that has been witness to so many memories all these years. But it’s also exciting to make new ones -now with my mom (and her entourage) in tow.

March – Stress levels will run really high again this season. I pray for strength & peace the whole month through. Konting kembot nalang, tapos na ang problem ko. Dear Lord, please be with me & see me through. Wala po sanang glitch. Allow everything to flow smoothly. And assure me that You are in control.

April – Time to celebrate my freedom! Hello retirement, totoo na ito -wala nang balikan at recall-recall! 😛 I pray for God’s wisdom & guidance as He leads me & Kap to new & better things ahead for our family. It’s scary, not knowing what the future holds & brings. But again, also exciting because of fresh starts & new beginnings. I pray that Kap & I will be able to give our children legacy & financial security.

May – I pray that if they haven’t been occupied yet, they would be by now. May God’s sustenance & provisions be upon us in our daily lives. Amen.

June – Ate‘s college graduation! The culmination of her 4 years of blood, sweat, and tears in Bio, woohoo! She always pressures herself even though I don’t require anything of her. Nevertheless, I am so very proud of my girl. She now knows Espana & Dapitan like the back of her hands. I pray that God will get her into the college that is best suited for her med-proper. Another 4 years ++ but with her drive & determination, the years will pass like a breeze. I can’t wait to finally call my darling DOCTOR JANA! <3

July – The kids are all out of school for a whole month, yay. Our BIG trip! I am already conditioning Kap that IT WILL HAPPEN. Maiwan siya kung ayaw niyang sumama. But definitely, we are so getting out of the country by hook or by crook! This early, I am already preparing myself for one hecka cheapness in terms of flight & accommodations ahuhuhu. Going abroad is so expensive, baka nga pagbauinin pa kami ni Kap ng sky flakes & spam pang-almusal at meryenda hmp!

August – The kids will be going back to school, so back to reality for me. This would probably the month of an all-time-low for me, after an all-time high from our (assuming) grand vacation & being constantly with Kap & the kids for a whole month. Will make sure to stock up on happy pills to combat depression, lol! Ate will hopefully be in the Med School of her choice. Her Dad & I are really really rooting for team USTe. But ultimately it’s her decision. She is gunning for ADMU. 5 years in the making. 1 extra year for the required MBA course, which is why I’m hesitant. But hey, it’s her life. She will be the one doing the daily trip & studying so whatever floats her boat & makes her happy, suportahan taka anak. :-*

September – It’s my mom’s 85th birthday. After her health scare, this definitely calls for a BIG celebration! I don’t know if she can already (and still) travel by this time. I’m hoping she can, maybe a short but meaningful cruise is in order for her & all the apos in the not so distant future to celebrate her life & health.

October – Celebrating TWO birthdays this month. It’s my baby girl’s 17th birthday. We HAVE to start planning na for her debut! My darling -who is now on her senior year in high school & will be applying to colleges na, is no longer a baby. Next year 3 na ang college kids ko ahuhuhu! And Kap.. well, just like me, he’s growing O-L-D-er hehe. We’re the same age so I’m not gonna say JUST HOW OLD.

November – Celebrating TWO more birthdays this month!

December – I hope that 2016 will be an even better year. That all of my loved ones are safe, and healthy, and happy. My biggest fear is losing a loved one. I already have everything I could ever want. I just pray for safety & good health for me & those I hold dear in my heart. No deadly illnesses or incurable diseases please. The rest I can take.
