Getting old means getting paranoid about your health. I’m hitting my golden years so I’m extra nervous about ailments, especially the serious, deadly ones. I panicked when I recently encountered certain people with CA reaching out for financial assistance. I can’t believe a single chemo treatment costs 150k! Paano na yung walang mga kakayahan? Mamatay nalang ba? My gosh, life is tough. Keeping alive is tougher. </3
Since I started my journey to menopause, my monthly cramps have been increasing in intensity to the point of almost intolerable pain, as in pamatay ang dysmenorrhea ko & my period lasts for about 2 weeks -sometimes even more. So Kap decided to take me to an OB for a check up. Ang sweet diba? Pause, before you swoon, basahin nyo muna itong blog hanggang sa kahuli-hulihan hehe! 😛
I normally go to a private practice in a hospital setting, but since Kap found out that our Barangay offers FREE services to its constituents, wala na. Pang-public service na ang byuti ko mula ngayon. Geee-zas!

For 3 consecutive days, we kept going back & forth to the barangay doctor coz the lab results are always delayed, bukas ng bukas. Syempre naman, asa pa diba. A pap smear in the barangay costs 250 php as opposed to almost double the amount in a private hospital or lab. Consultation is, of course, FREE.. which is why Kap took me there in the first place lol. Chika mates kami ng mga yaya at labandera. Keri lang. Natuto tuloy ako pano magluto ng sinampalukang manok while an employer was giving instructions to her cook who was there for BIRTH CONTROL PILLS. Ikr. #justiceforpersonalspace

Henyways, aside from a small benign myoma which the OB assures me will shrink on its own in time as I progress towards my golden & menopausal years, I’m healthy as can be. Well, except for my diabetes & hypertensive state. Wala na tayong magagawa jan, it’s hereditary (gee thanks Dad).

Right after my consultation, I asked my sister in law to send me a Sun Life medical insurance package called SUN Fit and Well Advanatge 10. I don’t want to be a financial burden to my children when the time comes. Better prepared than sorry. Hit her up at (0917) 858 8582 if you also want a quotation tailored to your needs & free consultation. Trixie doesn’t bite, I promise. She may even turn out to be your guardian angel in disguise. #healthiswealth Tandaan, nasa huli ang pagsisisi.

God forbid that I become afflicted, my policy will cover me up to 20% of the face amount after paying my premiums for 6 months. I can at least live in peace knowing that I won’t make my family bankrupt tying to keep me treated.
I have been a Sunlife Policy Owner since age 21. I have a good enough coverage to leave the kids when the good Lord calls me home. I am also reaping the rewards of the College plans I got for each of the Giblings. Had I known na magdo-doktor pala silang 3, I should have upped their plans years ago huhu. Like I said, nasa huli ang pagsisisi.

HI Ms Jane. Avid reader here ng blog mo. May I know kung anong college plan kinuha mo for your kids?
Thank you
May 14, 2018 at 8:35 amHi Chi. 🙂 I got the SUN HERITAGE plan (Sun Dream Achiever na yata ang pimalit) It has a guaranteed cash benefit which can be used to boost your fund for your child’s education. This provides four (4) annual cash payouts that increase by 15% every year regardless of school or course chosen. Total cash benefit is equal to 100% of the insurance coverage. I strongly advice this esp if you get at 0 age para mura pa ang premium. I got for my 3 kids & Sunlife has been paying for their college tuition since (Jana finished hers na though coz I only got the 4 year coverage huhu). Do contact my SIL at (0917) 858 8582 so she can advice you on the best plan that suits your need. One thing I like about her is she’s not pushy like other advisers. 😉
May 14, 2018 at 8:55 amwe have life insurances, but i would love to be able to get a college plan for my daughters din!
May 14, 2018 at 11:20 amiba ang secured na feeling
So true. Promise, I’m super enjoying the college plans of the giblings. Si babyson last na itong year huhu so sariling kayod na ang tuition nila ni Ate for the next following years. Med school is 180k/sem kenya imagine? Sising-sisi ako kung bakit hindi ko dinagdagan ang college fund nila waaaa. Text or call my SIL at (0917) 858 8582 so you can find out the best plan for you. :-*
