January 1, most of the sightseeing places & shops are closed in Osaka today so the kids decided it’s Outlet day, woohoo. I had my turn na yesterday so today, sila naman ang magsa-shopping. May hiya din naman ako (konti). ;P

The Rinku Premium Outlet, like any other outlets, is located in the suburbs -around 1-1.5 hours away from Osaka City proper (including wait at stations & transfers. Less if you go by car). There are very few high end boutiques (if at all) like D&G, Bally, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Valentino Red & Coach but that’s about it. The rest are pretty regular stores like Lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Adidas, Ugg & Timberland among a few.

None of the stores got my heartbeat racing, so I pretty much just chilled in (outside) Godiva after buying a steaming mug of chocolate with cinnamon & a bundle of chocs – not enough to kill me, don’t worry. 😉

Babyson made the buena mano with a purchase of school shoes from Cole Haan. 8.5k php down from 17k (outlet price + new year’s discount + 8% rebate).
Everything was going smoothly until the kumag handed my passport to Kap (in Japan they staple the receipt to your passports for rebate). Then he saw the REAL price of my bag which I undervalued, lol. Everytime I would buy illegal shitz I only tell Kap 1/3 of its price para hindi ako mapalo sa pwet. So ho-hem-gee, pinagalitan ako ng bonggang-bongga at ayaw akong kausapin the whole afternoon nung nalaman ang totoong presyo ng lekat na bag, ahuhu. Wala tuloy akong ka-holding hands mag-hapon!
Moral lesson of the story, don’t lie to your husband.. but if you do, make sure you don’t get caught. Ahahahahaha, sorry bad talaga ako. Wag nyo akong gayahin. Don’t lie, PERIOD. (Hanggang maaari.)
Henyway, dahil 7 degrees ang temperatura, lumamig din ang ulo ni Kap after 4 hours ng shopping-shopping at maya-maya pumayag na syang magpahawak at magpalambing sa akin. ;))
So malamang, wala na akong pwedeng bilhin throughout our trip kasi nabuko nang nag-overspend ako sa allowable budget hehe. Mag-behave na talaga ako at baka hindi lang #palosapwet ang abutin ko, may #whipitgood pa from my #50shadesofkap @_@
It was dark when we finally gave up & went home. I was surprised that their haul was pretty small by GOppets standards. Hindi siguro type ang mga paninda. The kids are more into high street brands/fashion while si Kap naman, aba eh kung hindi rin halos i-libre na ang merch, hindi bibilhin kahit gustong-gusto na.

As usual, rice meal for them, but since I saw a Mcdo store sa outlet, I craved a Big Mac so that’s what I bought for my dinner. Patakas na munching ako while my fam ate at a random resto that served FREE rice with every meal (syempre pa, tuwang-tuwa si Kap my Kap!).

Btw, speaking of McDo, have you seen the latest commercial? The clip features the 80’s fave love team Sharon & Gabby. Mali ba na kiligin ako ng major-major sa tanda kong ito??? I’ve seen them both in person on numerous occasions, & TBH, hindi ako kinikilig. I don’t like their personas off screen (especially si Mega na mega makapag-rant on social media). BUT! Together, and on screen, kinilig naman ako ng wagas. Kayo ba? Ako? Well, LOVE KO ‘TO! In fair, they are still super bagay. CLICK HERE to view it (if you haven’t already).

It was pretty much a chill day pero syempre, pagoda pa rin coz the outlet runs a big stretch. Nangisay din ako sa labas ng Godiva so I went to half the stores they entered para hindi naman malungkot at lonely hearts corner ang drama ko sa new year. 😉

Bukas uli, but it’s probably more shopping as I think regular business starts on the 3rd pa. We’ll see.
