2014 was a very busy year. Days passed by so quickly that it was already December when I woke up to the realization that my Christmas tree & holiday trimmings still weren’t up. And worse, my Christmas shopping list hasn’t even started! Wala pa ako nabibiling christmas gift ni isa! The countdown began for Le Miz Piggy.
On the dot of December 1, I had our tree put up as I crammed to buy christmas gifts for those I held near & dear to my heart -which wasn’t a small feat.

Compared to the rest of my family, Kap is fairly easy to buy gifts for. Anything for tennis he would certainly appreciate. But the kids??? That’s where my dilemma came. I initially thought of just giving them money or Gift Certificates from their favorite stores. But that wouldn’t have set Christmas apart from any ordinary day.

Dilemma, dilemma. So I started browsing around the online stores on what to get the kids. My search led me to FARFETCH.

The boy, my favorite Babyson, is the most unmaterialistic guy I know. He really takes after his dad. Plus he really needed date money. So I decided on giving him the perfect gift.. DATE MONEY! Lately he’s been burning a whole in his wallet. It’s always empty so I know for sure it’s what he wanted.. and needed.

I hid his money in a chocolate box which he also had to look for. My cutie-patootie son got cash-o from everyone in the family. What every binata with a love life needs! 😛

Every year, I make it a point to have plenty of presents for the kids to open. Christmas, after all, is for kids. But this year, since they had “big” gifts, I only got them 1 gift each. But the biggest surprise of the night was THEY prepared a whole bunch for their dad & I to open! We have the best kids with the biggest hearts! They scrimped & save, not to buy things for themselves, but for their parents. That alone was a gift in itself!

They got us lots & lots of new clothes yay! <3 Me -coz even though I’m a true-blue fatty, I really love to dress up. Kap, because.. well, so he can wear clothes other than his daily EB shirts in every imaginable shade. Grabe ang pagka-loyalista nitong asawa ko sa Eat Bulaga! 😛

At this point, I really REALLY have to thank MY-SHOPPINGBOX for its great service! <3 Because I dilly-dallied in my gift selection & purchase, Santa ALMOST came late for the GOppets. The packages arrived at Philippine Customs on the 23rd and I begged & begged KIT of my-shoppingbox.com to please please make a way for the gifts to get to my doorstep on the 24th. And it did!

But even if the packages didn’t get to arrive on time, I know for a fact that my kids won’t let a trivial & material thing such as gifts, or lack of it, ruin our Christmas. What’s important is that we are all healthy, alive, and together, celebrating the most important occasion of all. When Christ came to live amongst men so that we may be saved.
