Yeah, we’re ready to leave London, as beautiful as it is. We’re all Londoned out by this time, lol. 2 weeks is plenty of time. We saw all the palaces we could bear. You’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all.

If Kap didn’t take my hand every single time we went on an adventure, I’d have a reeeeally hard time keeping up. His TLC served as my inspiration to walk, walk, and walk. Hay! Ang nagagawa ng pag-ibig! 😛

The last 2 days have been raining, so umbrellas out. GRABE. Yan lang ang masasabi ko!

Hay ichini-chismis ko na naman si OTL! ;)) AT! HMP!

The kids wanted a last shot at Oxford Street for a final go-see of the streetwear shops. Fine by me, I got to stop by the new Liberty store. Not as fab as Harrods though. 😛

Harrods is an upscale department store occupying a 5-acre (20,000 m2) site and has 330 departments covering one million square feet (90,000 m2) of retail space. Several of its departments, including the seasonal Christmas department and the Food Halls, are popular.
I saw a Valentino sneaker last time in Harrod’s that I really wanted as pasalubong for Ate, baka kasi wala na along panahon mamili sa Italy seeing we’ll be pressed for time with just 6 days allotted & moving cities every 2 days. So we decided to go back there for some last minute shopping. Over the baggage allowance na kami pero shop pa more, ang saya-saya! 😛 Pastel-colored sneakers were not on sale (only the brightly-colored ones at 10% off) but I really really liked these for Ate. She wears mostly sneakers so I thought this would be a great addition to her growing collection of footwear. However, like most of the ones I showed her that day, she didn’t like the style. Not until we were in Italy. Then she decided she wanted one. Asuuuuus, taranta naman ang nanay kakahanap! @_@
The Liberty store is iconic & is a must-visit place when in London. In 1875, Arthur Lasenby Liberty borrowed £2,000 from his future father-in-law and took over half of 218a Regent Street with three dedicated staff. Devoted to his vision of an Eastern Bazaar and determined to change the look of homeware and fashion, Arthur Liberty’s collection of ornaments, fabric and objets d’art proved irresistible to a society intoxicated by Japan and the East. Within eighteen months the loan was repaid, the second half of 218a Regent Street was bought and neighbouring properties were added to house the ever-increasing demand for carpets and furniture. By 1884, Arthur Liberty was working with Costume Society founder Edward William Godwin creating in-house apparel to challenge the fashions of Paris. As a Royal Warrant holder dedicated to quality, Liberty also forged strong relationships with many British designers, most famously the protagonists of the Art Nouveau movement. These are traditions that continue today in the store’s commitment to inspirational, impeccably made goods and services. Celebrate Arthur Liberty’s legacy in our in-house collections of scarves, accessories and fabrics, and the finest designer fashion and homeware from all over the world. (PR)
This branch in Oxford street is new & just opened a couple of days prior to our visit, but the look remains antique-y & outdated in line with its history. Beautiful!
Mostly 50% off but I don’t know, nothing spoke to me. Or to Ate whom I’d been viber-ing with choices the whole time.
Except for this one. I liked this very unique Karl Lagerfeld studded sneaker on the left for myself, but the price was not right. Nasa 10% discount lang, mahal pa rin. The Aquazurra flats on the bottom right I also wanted to buy for Ate pero hindi rin daw nya type. Then jackpot! The Valentino sneakers on the upper right were on sale pero sobra naman daw matingkad ang kulay. @_@

Ang ending, wala kaming nabili. Got hangry so my Bae & I stopped for a brownie & flatbread lunch. Pinabayaan ko na si Kap mag-noodle & sushi. Tama na, sobra na, ayoko na.
—
Organic! Ate would have appreciated this little but important detail. She’s such a health nut hehe.
Ako basta pizza ok na. Aprub agad-agad, organic man o hindi! ;))
Kap would have frowned at our lunch, teehee. Their lunch cost only half of ours. Shhhhh!

Drove to Abbey Road where the Beatles crossed the street when we finally met up after lunch. Initially I didn’t want to go anymore because Ate wasn’t with us & I didn’t really want to take a photo there without her. But after much cajoling from the GOppets, I acceded since nasa London na rin lang kami, but I made sure Ate’s beautiful face was on the screen of my phone para kunwari magkasama pa rin kaming tumatawid. My kids really got me wrapped tight around their little fingers, sobra akong attached sa kanila.

Crossed the iconic Abbey Road. For the first time on a Beatles album, the front cover contained neither the group’s name nor the album title. Just that photograph taken on the zebra crossing near the entrance to the studios in London NW8 in August 1969 along Abbey Road.
The other way too! Pabalik naman ;))
There was a good-sized crowd along the street so we knew we were at the right place. It’s hard to cross though coz traffic was busy & many wanted to take a shot crossing.
Hala! Sumusulat sa pader oh!!

Then stopped by Hyde Park briefly on the way home. And what a beautiful sight to behold! A lone swan came up to chit-chat with us. We got to see one up close & personal. And the weather cleared up. God is indeed good, all the time. Entrance to the park is free.

Closer please? Kasi walang ganyan sa Pinas!

For the last big bang, syempre pwede ba namang hindi mag-chinese food si Kap my Kap? ;P Betchabygollywow! Dinner at Mr. Wu Hot Buffet! Lakas ng radar nyang makahanap diba.
—
Kap was very happy with his find. 😉 750 php/person for our buffet dinner.
My plates na umaapaw. Sweet & sour pork, stir-fry beef, steamed broccolli, roasted duck, roasted asado, tofu, honey-bbq’d pork. And lice! With Hot & sour soup on the side. So, umangal pa ako yung lagay na yan ha? Can you imagine my plate kung happy pa ako? Lol!

Tomorrow we leave for Switzerland. Sana hindi na kasing-lamig ng London. Gusto ko nang pawisan ahuhuhu!

Waaaaa! We’ve been so spoiled in London. Goodbye car, we will REALLY miss having you around!! :'( Back to public transpo!
Hahaha! But, honestly, you are super lucky to have someone like him–may nagaasikaso na, may comedian pa!
Maybe one of these days I’ll bump into the Goppets in ATC as we’re kinda neighbors. It’ll be so much fun eating out with you–napansin ko pareho tayo ng ordering style (ie: Order EVERYTHING on the menu!) Hahaha
