Ok. So, it’s not only DEBUT season.. but it’s also BIRTHDAY season. Oh-em-gee! @_@ Do you know what that means for me?? GASTOS! :'(( And so close to CHRISTmas too. ahuhuhu!
My mumsy, my hunny, my 3 kids & MIL celebrate their birthdays a mere 2 weeks apart starting the last week of september. So not only do I go BROKE this “BER” time of the month, I also get STRESSED arranging everything & trying to be WONDERMOM! 😛
You know what’s even harder than going broke? BUYING GIFTS! They are soooooooo picky! I got my mom a gold sparkly sweater for her birthday. She complained that it was too sparkly for her age hehe. Good thing I was able to convince her othewise.. “Naku mommy yan ang uso ngayon! Saka para kita agad kita kahit malayo. Hindi ka mawawala!” ;))
For my hunny, anything “tennis” is sorta okay. Medyo palpak lang minsan sa style or size. So I make sure to give him the receipt as well so he can change if hindi type!

My kids? Don’t get me started! They live in a different world. Before, I could still wrap their gifts & for sure they’d like what I chose. But now, it’s either too big, or too small. Too long, or too short. It’s not their color, it’s not their style. It’s not their size, it’s not their type. Kaloka! @_@
So, after numerous heartaches, frustrated tears & wasted money, I have finally wisened up & let them choose their own gifts. That way, erribody hapee!
Ate’s gift..
Finally she was able to choose the one that’s just right. Hay, sino ka ate? Si GOLDILOCKS??? “I like this mommy, not too thick so I can stack them up” |

My babyson has yet to decide if he also wants an iPhone upgrade or something else. iPhone na rin anak para wala na akong problema sa CHRISTmas gift hehe..
Don’t get me wrong. Yes, they’re spoiled, but they’re not brats. For the sake of comedy lang my rants haha. Even when they were small, if I tell them we can’t afford something they never cry nor insist -promise! That’s why I really save up coz they are such nice, wonderful, obedient kids. Not once have they given me a problem -I’m SO blessed that way.
They are good, diligent, hard-working students. I don’t have to nag or tutor them -even before. They always do their work on their own & by themselves. Sometime I feel pa nga that they don’t need me. 😛
So, little things like this, when it gives them so much joy & I only have to give a left kidney (remember there’s still the right!), I try to give in whenever I can. Money is replaceable. Memories of their childhood aren’t.
When people comment on how lucky they are to have me for a mom, I instantly disagree. I’M the lucky one. Because God couldn’t have given me better kids that the ones I have now. I am the way I am because they fulfill me as a Mom. <3 They are the ones who made me into the kind of mom I am.
My happy little family! <3 I so love this picture, even my Jela is looking at the camera! 🙂 |
Happy happy birthday my darlings. I love you guys so much, and the material things I give you do not even cover 1/4 of the happiness & love you continuously give me. I wouldn’t even have it any other way! <3 Mwah! :-*
