On Kap’s topmost agenda for today is the Toyota Automobile Museum. There are 2 places you can choose to visit when in Nagoya, the other being the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology which is in the city itself & just a few minutes away by subway or bus.
The former is an hour away from the city, and the one that Kap chose to visit. Kaloka, wala kong kahilig-hilig sa mga kotse, it’s a day of torture for me already, mapagbigyan ka lang at ang hilig mo!”
The Toyota Automobile Museum showcases more of the evolution & culture of automobiles around the world. Entrance fee is Jpy 1.2k (or 600 php), but since Kap & I both have PWDs, we we able to buy our tickets for Jpy 300 only (or 150 php each). 😛
While the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology shows the history and cultural importance of one of the region’s most important companies, from its beginnings as a textile machinery manufacturer to its modern-day industrial superpower status.
But before that, we had breakfast at the Yanagibashi Central Market which was directly across from our hotel, how cool is that?? \m/ Tatawid lang, pagkain na. Ang sabi, it opens at 4am.. drawing!
- Opening Hours: 4:00 – 10:00; closed Wednesdays and Sundays
Actually yes, it opens at 4am, but only for the wet market. Yung mga kainan opens much later, after the seafoods have been scaled, cut, gutted, and cleaned.

In fair, by day 3, expert na kami ni Kap kay google maps at hindi na kami naliligaw. Maraming salamat LIVE VIEW! :))
We had to transfer trains midway to Toyota. Kap accidentally saw a Mister Donut shop while I dashed for a much-needed weewee break (lola levelz na ang incontinence ko hekhek), so we made a quick pitstop so I can have some yummy Mochi donut (known better as pon de ring) goodness which is only available in Japan! <3
Then it was MY turn. Although I wasn’t interested in buying plates, I asked Kap if we can have coffee at Noritake Cafe Grand Vert after his Toyota stint. Syempre naman, dapat give & take diba?
We weren’t able to have lunch at the Automobile Museum as planned because the cafe ran out of the more substantial food items dahil hapon na kami natapos umikot. Hotdog sandwich nalang ang meron, kaya we decided to just head straight for coffee-cum-lunch kahit kalam-kalam na ang sikmura namin (travel ALWAYS makes me hangry!).
Also on Kap’s TOPMOST agenda is tennis shoe shopping!
Unfortunately, because of covid, they took out the revolving option where you can get your choice of sushi straight from the conveyor belt huhu.

Wave of “sushi terrorism” rocks Japan’s restaurant industry!
Crazy world filled with crazy people!
And because many revolving sushi restaurants have temporarily closed shop, there were only a few left remaining. Thankfully, one was still open in Oasis 21 which is super near Mirai Tower. So for 3 days straight, mega-Mirai kami hehe..

A short walk away from Oasis 21 is the 24-hour MEGA Don Quijote Sakai Honten branch. As in LAHAT ng gusto mong bilhin, mabibili mo sa Donki, no joke! PLUS it’s 8-10% TAX-FREE for non-residents!!!
A short but funny anecdote sa aming donki expe ni Kapitan MAJOR Kunat. This is what I posted on my Instagram page.. 😛
Tired is an UNDERSTATEMENT. Sa sobrang pagod ko, pinakain nalang uli ako ni Kap kasi #lamna the way to a woman’s forgiveness is thru her stomach! ;))
I think this was the longest & COLDEST day ever. If not for the dumplings, baka naghiwalay na kami, no joke! 😛
Ok this post has been long enough. Pahinga na tayong pare-pareho. Day 4 up next. Meanwhile, dasal muna ako ng SERENITY PRAYER, lolz! Tara, samaham nyo ako..
