Dear God, thank you for my mom. She has been such a blessing to me. From the day I was born until now that I am way past my prime, she continues to be a giver & a provider. Not just of material things, but more than than, she has been a constant source of strength, support, and love. Nothing can ever beat a mother’s love. She has always given, and not taken anything for herself.
She never experienced pure joy & has been deprived of true love in this lifetime. She has had such a rough life. Everything has come to her in waves of hardship from her growing up years, to her fruit-bearing years, and even now at her ripe old age. Problems seem to follow her wherever she goes, and yet Lord, she remains steadfast in her faith in You. If there is one thing that she has taught me, it’s to have faith in You. That You can do miracles, and that You are the best physician & healer.
She taught me to pray, and to lift up everything in Your hands, to obey Your will, Lord. So now, I lift her up unto you. If it is Your will Lord, and I am hoping & praying that it is, allow her to recover from her massive stroke in Jesus’ name. Please heal her from the top of her head to the tip of her toes. Please remover the bleeding in her brain & allow her more healthy years with us. Envelop her in Your love & protection just as You have always had.
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
I have been so short & impatient with her lately, and now this, please allow me to make it up to her. I have been such a bad daughter & neglecting my duties. It took this illness to open my eyes & my heart that I can’t live without her. That even at my old age, I still need my mother. I love her so much Lord, and I don’t know how I’ll ever survive without my mommy. She looks so frail & thin, every glance I give her way is like a stab in my heart as she lies there helpless. Helpless but not hopeless, because I know that whatever happens, You are there for her.
If you must, Lord, then take her gently into Your arms, and quickly. Let her not feel any pain. She has had so much of that in her lifetime. But it You can still spare an angel here on earth, then please allow her condition to stabilize & reverse.
In spite of everything, I lift up my hands to you oh Lord. Thank you that although she had a massive stroke, she can still recognize us, she can still talk to us, and she can still move her arms & her legs albeit weakly. That alone proves how much You are protecting her, and how much you are favoring her. I have such little faith Lord, and I have asked You time & again to strengthen my faith. But not through this please. I am too weak & vulnerable for this. Prayer & faith can move mountains, so I will exercise my faith & let it grow from here on. Please heal my mommy. Please allow me to love her a little bit more. She still has it in her to work for You, and to finish the job You have given her to do on earth.
Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

I put my faith & my trust in You my God. I lift up to you my Mommy. Thank you for her life. Thank you for giving her to me as a parent. Thank you for the honor & privilege of being her child.
In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, amen.

November 24, 2015 at 10:21 pmMs. Jane, I pray to the Lord that a miracle will happen – that your mom will be back on her feet and recover soon. I know how you are feeling right now because 2 years ago my mom had a stroke too and she had to undergo physical therapy for months. Please be strong. God will not forsake you. He is always there for your mom. Hold on and keep the faith. I pray that the Lord will embrace her with His healing arms and comfort her. In Jesus’ name… Amen.

November 24, 2015 at 10:25 pmDear Ms. Jane,
I join the many others in praying for God’s blessings upon your mommy and family, but I also wanted to tell you that we are listening. In times of turmoil, sometimes all you need is a willing ear (or in this case willing eyes ^_^) to acknowledge your worries, to be with you in your pain, and to accept whatever feelings you are willing to share. We are all sons and daughters and I’d like to think that we can buoy each other with our joys and lift each other up with love. Our love is with you and your family, Ms. Jane. And never forget that we are here for whatever whenever…
Sincerely,

November 24, 2015 at 10:29 pmDear Jane,
November 22, 2015 at 2:17 pmI was shaking when the page opened and i saw your mommy’s hands clasped in your hands and the dextrose. Until now i am shaking and crying and my chest is pounding. Oh how i feel for you. I pray that she be comfortable as we all wait on the Lord’s will to unfold. Have faith for our God is good. He loves your mommy so much and knows she is special. He knows how much you love her, too. You are all in my prayers. Please take care of yourself because I know that is what your Mommy would want you to do. I dont know your Mommy personally, have only known her through your blog, but may I say that I love your Mommy too, she is a lovely, selfless beautiful person.
