My Baby girl LOVES Xiao Long Bao’s (on top of ramen & everything else haha!). So when she saw her Ninang Med’s instagram post with colorful XLB’s in Crystal Jade Shanghai Delight in Greenhills, she went gaga & begged to be taken there asap! 😉

For her birthday dinner, we were supposed to celebrate it at Cafe Jeepney of The Intercontinental Hotel, Manila. However, it coincided with the Candidates’ Forum for the Barangay election, ergo, her Daddy couldn’t be with us.

Me? I’m a stickler for dates. If my birthday falls on a certain day, I want it celebrated on that exact day. Not a day before, not a day after, and most certainly not a WEEK after. Gusto ko kung kailan talaga ako ipinanganak! I really make a big fuss. I don’t care what else is happening on that day, I want it made special because come on, how many times does a birthday or anniversary come in a year, right? I feel that it’s the ONE day in a year that people can sacrifice to make me feel wonderfully loved & appreciated. Many a tears have been shed (by me of course) because Kap is not sentimental. He’s a VERY practical person. Now? Natuto na ako. Keber na – I have learned to choose my battles wisely! Buti na lang talaga hindi nagmana sa akin ang mga dalaga ko! 😛

My Lovey was so understanding & asked me to just re-schedule her family birthday celebration for another night. I have spoiled her in every way possible, but I’m so proud of the selfless & kind-hearted little lady that she is becoming. She’s no brat, that’s for sure. Where other little girls would be put out by a cancelled birthday dinner & even throw a tantrum, my Lovey was open-minded & gave way for the sake of her dad’s campaign. She could have made a fuss, but she didn’t. So her ate & I made sure she had the best birthday ever! 😉

We took her to Crystal Jade Shanghai Delight in Greenhills for her Xiao Long Bao birthday lunch last Wednesday. She deserved extra effort for her special day! <3

Crystal Jade BGC & Crystal Jade Shanghai Delight are sister companies, but the one in BGC is fine dining & doesn’t offer dimsum.

They also had Black Truffle & Foie Gras which, of course, we had to try as well! 😛 Subukan lahat! Bigyan ng jacket! 😉

I hope you had a good day my baby. I know we weren’t complete as a family on your birthday, but ate & I did our best to make it one happy day for you.  And I will continue making it up to you until we can finally celebrate with Daddy & Kuya.
