Day 7
—
Done with pretty much of the London sightseeing yesterday so today is a leisurely day (I hope) for us girls. Kap & our babyson went to watch the first day of Wimbledon. Ya know what that means right? FREEDOM FROM KAP and SHOPPING FOR ME! ;P
Wimbledon opening at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Piccadilly *** BUY TICKETS HERE. Entrance fee: 15UK/person
Wimbledon is the oldest, biggest, and most prestigious tennis tournament in the world. The tourney has been held annually at the All England Club in Wimbledon, London since 1877.
Unlike most tennis tournaments, the Wimbledon is played on grass which was tennis’ original playing surface and gave way to the early name of “lawn tennis.”
Wimbledown 2016, also known as “The Wimbledown Championships” or “The British Open”, begins today Monday, June 27 and ends on Sunday, July 10. PLAN YOUR VISIT HERE.

Almost 8k on the que list. Not yet assured of a seat. Poor Kap & babyson, it took them half a day queueing & just a couple of hours to watch a game. Ganyan talaga ang buhay, but blessing just the same. <3
Up until the last day before the opening we’ve been trying to buy seats for these 2 bozos but Wimbledon is pretty exclusive to the Brits. Pag tourist walang pag-asang maka-online unless you buy the ultra expensive package at more or less 150k/person. AT! @_@
My babyson is not a tennis fan but he agreed to go with Kap. ;)) Thank you babyson for your patience.
Kap was hoping to get center court seats where the more popular players can be seen, but naubos agad ang tickets as expected. Oh well.
He’s been to Wimbledon, one off Kap’s bucket list, yay! <3

After doing several loads on the washer & drying them out on whatever surface we can find around the apartment, the girls & I took off for breakfast at the MELT ROOM. Today is our only chance to live it up, lol, so we grabbed an Uber, no bus or metro for me today.
—
Our last apartment in Paris, we had both a washer & a dryer, unfortunately in London, we only had a washer so sampay galore!
First time to try Uber. Wala si Kap, walang bawal today, mwahaha!
We were supposed to eat at Breakfast Club pero hanggang Divisoria ang pila grabe. Good thing Ate saw Melt Room on our way so we had a nice detour! \m/
Yummy yummy grilled cheese sandwiches! <3 Tomato soup 3 pounds, my Pastrami 5 pounds, Ate’s Maltese’s & Cream 4 pounds, Lovey’s Classic 4 pounds, and fries 1.50

Walked around the shops & headed home early laden with even more stuff than our luggages can carry hehe. Feel ko talaga puputok na, malapit-lapit na.

We also have tea at the famous SKETCH lined up today. If only Kap knew what sort of evil, delicious, sordid activities we had planned ahead I’m sure hindi mag-Wimbledon yun hehe.

Even before leaving Ate made sure we got a booking at Sketch. Sobrang mahal but so worth it seeing the delight on my girls’ faces.
I really try to indulge them when I can, sayang naman ang trip kung hindi full London experience diba?
I don’t know if you can do walk-ins. Madami-dami pang vacant seats when we got there at 3pm, but better safe than sorry. Book a table online.
The interiors are really girly-girly, karamihan ladies.
Eggzoited for what is to come! Afternoon tea at Sketch with my girls. Shhhh..
Their happiness, priceless! <3
The view & ambience is also priceless, I gotta say. Everywhere you look, kahit pa look-up, kagandahan.
In fairness, eat-all-you-can naman ang drama sa Sketch. Have as many as you want, and if you can’t finish the pastries, you get to take them home too. Just the sweets, the savouries you can’t. Sarap sobra ng mini sandwiches! <3 Busog na kami but the girls pushed for more hehe.
Still water or tap water madam? Thinking it’s free, “Oh, still water please?” Leche! 9 pounds isang tubig! Eh 2 inorder namin. 500 pesos mahigit isa? Ka-highblood! ;))
Buti nalang nahimasmasan ako sa enchantment deluxe! May harana espesyal pangpa-kalma, lol.
Loved the freshly-baked scones. Isang order pa nga?
Lemon Wimbledon Cake, dedicated to Kap my Kap. In honor of the 1st day of the Tennis Wimbledon. Enjoy the games, love you. .
Sketches all around.
The bathroom situation at Sketch. This is the glam one..
And right beside the tea parlor is the fun one! \m/ You gotta go visit the loo at Sketch, ang saya-saya, mangigitlog ka talaga!
Hop-SKETCH, anyone?
—
We were all too beat from the week-long activities. Happy Kap brought home chicken for dinner! \m/ Pagod na sya sa pila & whole day of fun under the sun, naalala pa rin nya naming uwian ng pagkain, my hero!
—
Oh yes, livin’ la vida loca talaga ako today! ;)) Taxi pauwi! Kap’s ears must’ve been ringing the whole day wahaha!

Another busy day tomorrow, cheerio for now. :-*
